Question - TAW7 - Can a 4K Blu-ray Disc be Created? No.72598
ddoak  2025-06-18 05:10:16 ( ID:0kmuaadhrbw )   [ Delete / Reply with quotation ]

Is it possible to create a 4K Blu-ray disc with TMPGEnc Authoring Works 7 software? If not, the software is useless for me.

I created the disc files & they are HD (1920 x 1080), 29.97fps, Interlaced, bit rate 30.0 Mb/s.

I do not see any option pertaining to disc creation.

Question - TAW7 - Fatal Error Changing Main Menu background Video & Audio No.72597
ddoak  2025-06-18 02:33:04 ( ID:0kmuaadhrbw )   [ Delete / Reply with quotation ]

I tried changing Main Menu background video & audio and received the following error:

illegal floating decimal point calculation order. Floating point division by zero [code:c000008E VMESys.dll ModuleBase:000000006A880000 Address:000000006AC36D11].

This is the path i used to update the background: Menu > Page Edit > Background Edit > within Source File Settings clicked Browse, then added video clip.

Tried several other videos for the background, but still received the same error message.

What am I failing to understand with changing the background video. Ironically I can change the audio without an issue.

Compared to DVD Architect, TMPGEnc has a difficult learning curve.

Question - TAW7 - Unexpected BluRay Stop on 00:45:57. No.72593
Ocamy  2025-06-11 15:24:43 ( ID:qnekf4ivpb2 )   [ Delete / Reply with quotation ]

When trying to play my BluRay on a conventional Hardware Player, everything works fine until I reach the minute mark 45:57 on Track 1 (main movie). The movie just freezes. The only way to resume is to fast forward or rewind for 1 sec and then hit play. Now the movie plays back seemlessly.

The track contains only one larger file (01:13:14) an 13 chapters. None of the chapters fall on this timecode. When I play it back on a disc drive on my PC (via VLC Media Player), it all works perfectly fine.

Does someone know a solution to this?

Question - TAW6 - Freezing on creating blu-ray folder No.72590
Paul  2025-05-25 05:49:13 ( ID:jts0jefg5oa )   [ Delete / Reply with quotation ]

I am trying to create blu-ray compliant folders so that I may burn a BD-R upon completion.

I added a number of MKV files and associated .ac3 audio files to TAW6 and saved the project. I am now trying to output the project to files, but TAW6 keeps stopping the output at various points. Two .m2ts files have been created in the "Stream" folder, but the 3rd one shows 0 KB with no further progress. The time "Remaining" keeps increasing......

I have tried saving to a local drive as well as to an attached one without any luck.

Can anyone help, as this is very frustrating?

Thanks!

Question - TVMW7 - How to find out the cut times No.72578
DWBN Streaming  2025-05-06 05:41:32 ( ID:jfkhnmjnkja )   [ Delete / Reply with quotation ]

Hi!

I have successfully converted a tvmw5 project to tvmw7.

Back in the days I used to work differently and I was simply cutting out sequences using the cut tool.

Today I would like to redo the videos and add a fade instead of the hard cut.

How to find out the time codes of the cut sequences?

Thanks,
Stephan

Question - TAW7 - How Do I Set Up Non-Skippable (no op) screen No.72570
Mark Weiss  Home )  2025-04-30 09:05:40 ( ID:qtr2iozgpca )   [ Delete / Reply with quotation ]

I came from a DVD authoring environment 20 years ago using Scenarist, so the terminology I use is based upon that software.

What I'd like to know is how to create a non-skippable screen at the beginning of the Blu-ray disc (Scenarist calls this a 'no op'). This would be like a copyright notice at the front end, that we don't want to be skipped, but play for 5-8 seconds. Is it possible in Authoring Works 7? If so, how is it implemented?

Question - TVMW7 - Subtitles Support No.72568
TF14  2025-04-29 10:25:32 ( ID:p3lz4bqeolw )   [ Delete / Reply with quotation ]

Hello - I have a MKV file with 3 sets of subtitles and I can view them in several different media players. In TMPGEnc Video Mastering Works, I enabled subtitle support via Preferences.

However, when I import the MKV file TMPGEnc doesn't appear to show anywhere that the source file has subtitles. Also, any output file (MKV format) no longer has the original subtitles.

Does TMPGEnc Video Mastering Works support subtitles in MKV files? If it does, what else can I do to make sure the existing subtitle stay with the output MKV file?

Thanks!

After checking with support, here is a summary of subtitle support in Mastering Works 7:

1) Under Filters, you have the ability to add subtitles, import subtitles, etc. to a project
2) While Master Works 7 can import a MKV file but it cannot recognize any subtitles embedded within the MKV (i.e., subtitles are lost). You can add them back if you can export the subtitles to a separate file via another app.

Another app - Handbrake - can keep the subtitles contained in a MKV file when exporting to an MKV. However, Handbrake is not a replacement for everything Mastering Works 7 can do.

Thanks!

Question - TVMW7 - Multiplexer does not work when combining MTS files No.72542
bmcfarl@hotmail.com  2025-04-18 01:22:09 ( ID:uh0ud4zat5f )   [ Delete / Reply with quotation ]

Hi Guys,

The Multiplexer tool will not successfully combine 2 MTS files. The resulting size of the file is correct, but the video time length shows the length for the 1st video. And, when I play it in VLC Player, it ends where the 1st video ends. The 2nd video is not recognized. I have to use an app, tsMuxerGUI, to accomplish this task. Can this be fixed? Thanks!

I'm on the Trial Version on Authoring Works 7, this is the questiuon that can make me buy ot not the software.

I have a lot of mkv videos with subtitles and various audio files, i want to import them and make my personal blurays but whenever i import something it doesn't include the option to see the subtitles that are already on the video i'm importing. I don't want to pass it to Handbrake to make more files and making my process slower, so i was asking if i'm doing something wrong or how i correct it

Question - TAW7 - Making track titles appear later No.72536
Aitor Santisteban  2025-04-14 19:36:06 ( ID:7f7m4sezvtc )   [ Delete / Reply with quotation ]

Hi!

I'm making a menu and I'd like to make the title tracks appear some seconds later than the beginning of the video I'm adding on the background. Here I'm attaching a video of mine as an example so as to make it clear: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eiV2BlHQ1tk

I've been able to do that by using the fade-in effect on the track titles and making the highlights opaque (as I can't find a fade-in effect for those). However, if you use the arrow on the screen and press randomly (even if you can't see the titles), any of the videos will play, as the disappearing and appearing of the titles is nothing but an optical effect. What I want is the actual options to play the video to appear later (not just the titles' pictures).

Can anybody provide me with any help?

Thanks a lot!
